We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented, strong analytical mindset, and data-driven individual to serve as the Data Base Administrator (DBA). This role will be a member of the IT Team and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and configuration of our database servers and processes.  As a Data Base Administrator, you will be required to work individually as well as collaborate with developers to maintain our database.

A successful candidate will be able to work efficiently and independently in a face-paced complex environment, communicate clearly and effectively, respond with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a swift response or turnaround, think creatively, exercise strong and confident judgement, and be proactive in solving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Proactively monitor system performance.
  • Provide suggestions for improvements.
  • Configure SQL jobs to automate processes.
  • Assist the development team with optimizing procedures.
  • Define and implement maintenance plan for optimal database performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience as a SQL DBA.
  • Experience with SQL Managed Instances in Azure preferred.
  • Experience with performant disaster recovery options.
  • Experience with full text indexing best practices.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning tools

Requirements

  • A successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background, education, and employment investigation, prior to employment.
  • Work-authorization; US Citizen.
